理学博士,教授,博士生导师,原南京师范大学党委常委、校长。

主要研究领域和方向:

植物叶绿体的生物学特性研究,重点是围绕杂交水稻等模式植物叶片叶绿体光合作用的细胞生物学特性进行探索,特别是针对水稻功能叶(剑叶)叶绿体衰老过程所呈现的特性变化,从生化及细胞生物学水平进行全面的分析研究,试图为调控叶绿体衰老进程提供有用的实验结果。主持1项国家重点研发项目,4项国家自然科学基金项目,1项国家重点研发项目(973)子课题,及多项省部级教改、科研项目。
